摘要

Abstract

To clarify the seed germination of different salt-tolerant plants under salt stress,an indoor germination method was adopted,and 13 NaCl concentration gradients were set to simulate the salt stress environment.The changes in indicators such as germination rate,germination potential,germi-nation index and relative salt damage rate of 10 kinds of salt-tolerant plant seeds under salt stress were determined.The effects of different concentrations of salt stress on the germination of salt-tolerant plant seeds were studied,and their salt tolerance was comprehensively evaluated.The results showed that lower salt concentration(50 mmol/L)stress could promote the germination of Abelmoschus escu-lentus,Canadian Sorghum bicolor,tall Spinacia oleracea,Suaeda salsa,Echinochloa frumentacea and Rumex patientia L.× Rumex tianschanicus A.Los..Low salt concentration stress could increase the germination rate of seeds and promote the growth of roots and buds of seedlings.However,medi-um to high salt concentration(≥200 mmol/L)stress had a significant inhibitory effect on them.The Atriplex aucheri Moq.and Suaeda altissima showed strong salt tolerance to varying degrees.Even when the salt concentration reached 1 000 mmol/L,the germination rates could still reach 8.7%and 6.0%,respectively.A regression equation was established based on NaCl concentration and seed germination rate.The salt tolerance of the 10 plants was compared by the member function in the following order from strong to weak:Suaeda altissima,Echinochloa frumentacea,Sesbania cannabina,Rumex patientia L.× Rumex tianschanicus A.Los.,tall Spinacia oleracea,Atriplex aucheri,Abelmoschus esculentus,Canadian Sorghum bicolor,Suaeda altissima,Melilotus suaveolens.By conducting cluster analysis based on the com-prehensive membership function,10 salt-tolerant and alkali-tolerant plants could be classified into three cate-gories according to their germination characteristics:salt-tolerant plants,relatively salt-tolerant plants and salt-sensitive plants.Eventually,the most salt-tolerant plant was selected as Suaeda salsa.
