Abstract

To explore the nutritional components of yellow passion fruit(Passiflora edulis)fruits from different production areas in Guizhou and comprehensively evaluate the quality of yellow passion fruit fruits,taking the yellow passion fruit as the research object,a comprehensive analysis and evalu-ation of 12 quality indicators of the yellow passion fruit from 10 production areas was conducted through analysis of variance,coefficient of variation analysis,correlation analysis and principal com-ponent analysis.The results showed that among the 12 quality indicators of the yellow passion fruit tested in 10 production areas,except for the edible rate which showed no significant difference,there were significant differences in the other indicators.Among them,the content of soluble solids was rel-atively high,ranging from 19.02%to 20.47%,and the content of titratable acid was relatively low,ranging from 0.89%to 1.29%.The coefficients of variation of the 12 quality indicators ranged from 2.53%to 16.98%.The ones with relatively large degrees of variation were peel thickness,titratable acid,sugar-acid ratio and solid-acid ratio,while the coefficients of variation of the rest were relatively small.Correlation analysis indicated that the size of the fruit played a significant role in the longitudi-nal and transverse diameters during the formation process,and the titratable acid and soluble sugar of the fruit played an important role in the formation process of the sugar-acid ratio and solid-acid ratio.Principal component analysis indicated that the cumulative contribution rate of the top four principal components reached 90.681%,respectively reflecting the sugar-acid flavor,fruit size,fruit shape and edible index of the fruit.The top three in terms of score ranking were Congjiang,Xingyi and Rongjiang.Comprehensive evaluation showed that the fruits of the yellow passion fruit grown in the 10 production areas all had the quality characteristics of large single fruit weight,high soluble solids,soluble sugar,edible rate and low titratable acid,which were suitable for further promotion and culti-vation.
