Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of bronchial artery embolization(BAE)in the treatment of patients with acute massive hemoptysis.Method:92 patients with severe hemoptysis admitted to the Interventional Department of Taizhou People's Hospital affiliated to Nanjing Medical University from January 2023 to October 2024 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into two groups according to whether they underwent BAE surgery.Among them,32 patients who received conservative treatment were the control group,and 60 patients who received BAE treatment were the observation group.The differences in clinical symptom improvement,hospitalization time,complications,and recurrence after discharge between the two groups were compared.Result:During hospitalization,neither group of patients experienced serious complications.Both groups of patients showed statistical significance in terms of significant efficacy,length of hospital stay,recurrence at 3 months of follow-up,and recurrence at 6 months of follow-up(P<0.05).Conclusion:BAE can achieve immediate hemostasis in the treatment of acute massive hemoptysis,with high effectiveness and safety,low short-to medium-term recurrence rate,and is worthy of further promotion in clinical practice.关键词
