Abstract
Conducting evidence-based research on traditional medicine and clarifying its effectiveness and safety with scientific research data and high-quality clinical evidence are essential foundations for the modernisation and international development of traditional medicine.The World Health Organization established a global evidence map of traditional medicine in 2023,which is based on the ICD-11 disease classification and brings together systematic reviews/Meta-analyses for 19 categories of diseases and 7 traditional medicine therapies globally from 2018 to 2022.The aim of this paper is to sort out the current status of global traditional medicine evidence based on this,summarise the existing evidence features and deficiencies,and provide evidence support for China to strengthen evidence-based research on Chinese medicine and promote the international development of Chinese medicine.The results indicate that global systematic reviews and meta-analyses are predominantly focused on non-communicable diseases,while evidence synthesis for infectious diseases requires further strengthening.The evidence synthesis is mainly concentrated on traditional drug therapies,whereas systematic reviews and meta-analyses of non-drug therapies need further enhancement.Additionally,global collaboration in synthesizing traditional medicine evidence remains insufficient.关键词
