Abstract
Objective To explore the intervention effect of traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing combined with appropriate techniques in elderly hypertensive patients.Methods A total of 204 elderly hypertensive patients admitted to Qilu Hospital of Shandong University were included in the study.They were randomly divided into a control group(102 patients who were admitted from January to June 2023 and given conventional treatment and nursing)and an observation group(102 patients who were admitted from July to December 2023 and additionally given traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing combined with appropriate techniques).The blood pressure,syndrome score,quality of life,self-efficacy,and intervention effect were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.Results After 1 and 2 weeks of intervention,the systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,and syndrome scores were lower in both groups compared to admission levels(P<0.05),and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).After2 weeks of intervention,the scores of the Hypertension Quality of Life Scale and the Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale in the observation group were both higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and both groups showed higher scores compared to admission levels(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of traditional Chinese medicine characteristic nursing and appropriate techniques can further improve blood pressure control outcomes,reduce syndrome scores,and enhance quality of life and self-efficacy in elderly hypertensive patients,with a high effective rate.关键词
