Abstract

Objective:To establish a rapid detection method for carbofuran in Chinese medicinal materials(CMM)using portable mass spectrometry.Methods:Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma and Lycii Fructus were used as the research objects.The samples were subjected to direct extraction,and the extracts were purified using hydrophilic-lipophilic balance(HLB)solid-phase extraction columns.Carbofuran in the samples was analyzed by portable mass spectrometry in the positive ion mode.Results:Carbofuran showed good linearity(r>0.99)with peak area within the concentration range of 0.25-10.00 mg·kg-1.The limits of detection(LOD)and quantification(LOQ)for carbofuran in Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma and Lycii Fructus were 0.10 mg·kg-1 and 0.25 mg·kg-1,respectively.The recovery rate of carbofuran in Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma was 94%at the spiked level of 2.0 mg·kg-1,with a relative standard deviation(RSD)of 18%(n=8).The recovery rate of carbofuran in Lycii Fructus was 78%at the spiked level of 1.00 mg·kg-1,with the RSD of 17%(n=8).These results meet the requirements of trace analysis.Conclusion:The established method is rapid,accurate,and operable,and can be applied to the daily rapid screening of carbofuran in Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma and Lycii Fructus.This approach provides a technical reference for the development of rapid detection methods for other pesticides in CMM.
