摘要

Abstract

With the continuous development of heavy-lift,high-load and lightweight requirements for aircraft case castings,there is an urgent need to explore high-performance cast magnesium alloys suitable for sand casting.In this project,the microstructure and mechanical properties of large-sized Mg-10Gd-0.3Nd-0.3Zn-0.5Zr alloy castings manufactured by using of sand molds were studied.The as-cast microstructures consist of fine primary equiaxed α-Mg phases and a small amount of Mg3(RE,Zn)phases.After solution treatment at 510℃,Mg3(RE,Zn)phases dissolve into the α-Mg matrix,the grain size increase,and LPSO phase form.The aging hardening curves within 175-250℃ were tested,and the optimal aging process was determined to be 225℃/16 h.The peak aging microstructure consists of fine β' and β1 phases uniformly distributed in the matrix,and the ultimate tensile strength,yield strength,and elongation can reach up to 328.9 MPa,213.0 MPa and 6.8%,respectively,which fully meet the service requirements of large-sized aircraft case castings with heavy-lift,high-load and lightweight.
