Abstract
By now,severe sediment siltation exist around the piled wharves in some important coast ports in China.To obtain the law of variation in the forces on the pile foundation under the combined action of vessels and underlying silt,a 3D finite element model was established to simulate pile-soil interaction under the impact by vessels.The numerical simulation results applied to the calculation and analysis of the variation in the force on the pile foundation under each silting thickness.It is indicated that an increase in the thickness of sediment leads to significantly increased stress,shear force,and bending moment at the top of pile foundation.For the wharves being focused on,the thickness of silting at 6 m is identified as the critical threshold.When the silting thickness exceeds 6m,the bending moment begins to exceed the cracking moment at the top of pile foundation.关键词
