天然产物通过调控自噬和铁死亡改善阿尔茨海默病的研究进展
Research progress on natural products in ameliorating Alzheimer's disease via modulation of autophagy and ferroptosis
摘要
Abstract
Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder of the central nervous system that primarily affects the elderly population.Characterized by insidious onset and progressive deterioration,AD manifests predominantly as cognitive impairment and memory deficits,significantly compromising patients'quality of life.In recent years,growing research on natural products and AD has revealed their remarkable potential in AD prevention and treatment through modulating autophagy and ferroptosis,owing to their multi-target and multi-pathway advantages.This article outlines the potential mechanisms of autophagy and ferroptosis,discusses their relationship with AD,and summarizes natural products reported in the past decade that ameliorate AD by modulating autophagy and ferroptosis,aiming to provide theoretical references for the application of natural products in the prevention and treatment of neurological disorders as well as the development of novel therapeutics.关键词
