持续性房颤患者中红细胞分布宽度和左心房纤维化的相关性
The correlation between red cell distribution width and left atrial fibrosis in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the correlation between red cell distribution width(RDW)and left atrial fibrosis in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation(AF),as well as the diagnostic value of RDW for atrial fibrillation.Methods:From May 2022 to December 2023,27 inpatients diagnosed with persistent atrial fibrillation in the Department of Cardiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University were enrolled as the atrial fibrillation group.Meanwhile,27 patients with sinus rhythm matched for age and gender were recruited as sinus rhythm group.Pearson correlation coefficient analysis was used to assess the correlation between RDW and left atrial fibrosis,and receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis was performed to evaluate the diagnostic value of RDW for persistent atrial fibrillation.Results:Compared with the SR group,the level of RDW in the AF group was significantly increased,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.001).The area under the ROC curve(AUC)of RDW was 0.848,and the optimal cut-off value of RDW for predicting persistent atrial fibrillation was 13.9%,with a sensitivity of 85%and a specificity of 74%.The AUC of left atrial diameter(LAD)was 0.846,and the optimal cut-off value of LAD for predicting persistent atrial fibrillation was 38 mm,with a sensitivity of 74%and a specificity of 77%.Pearson correlation coefficient analysis showed that RDW level was positively correlated with the degree of left atrial fibrosis(r=0.676,P＜0.01),and LAD was also positively correlated with the degree of left atrial fibrosis(r=0.644,P＜0.01).Conclusion:RDW is significantly elevated in patients with persistent atrial fibrillation,and RDW level is positively correlated with left atrial fibrosis.It may serve as a biomarker for predicting the occurrence of persistent atrial fibrillation and left atrial fibrosis.关键词
