干旱胁迫下南亚系列澳洲坚果幼苗的生理响应
Physiological Response of Macadamia Seedlings from Nanya Series to Drought Stress

Abstract
[Objective]The physiological response of macadamia seedlings to drought stress was explored to provide a theoretical basis for water management of macadamia seedlings and breeding of drought-tolerant macadamia varieties.[Method]The differences in activity of antioxidant enzymes(SOD,POD,CAT and APX),content of osmotic adjustment substances(Pro,SS and SP),MDA content,relative electrolytic conductance(REC),total chlorophyll content(Chl),relative water content(RWC)and root activity(RA)of seedlings from four macadamia cultivars(Nanya 1,Nanya 2,Nanya 3 and Nanya 116)under four drought stress levels of CK(25.73%—27.44%of soil water content),LD(18.87%—20.58%of soil water content),MD(13.72%—15.44%of soil water content)and SD(10.29%—12.01%of soil water content)were analyzed by a pot test.[Result]With increase of drought stress level,the leaf water content and total chlorophyll content of seedlings from 4 macadamia cultivars showed a decreasing trend,the MDA content,REC and activity of SOD,POD,CAT and APX increased significantly,and the content of Pro,soluble sugar and soluble protein increased gradually.The leaf Pro content of Nanya 1 grown under SD stress was significantly higher than that of Nanya 1 grown under MD stress,and the leaf Pro content of Nanya 2,Nanya 3 and Nanya 116 grown under MD and SD stress became stable.The leaf soluble sugar of Nanya 3 and Nanya 116 increased significantly with increase of drought stress level,but the leaf soluble sugar content of Nanya 1 grown under MD and SD stress became stable.Under drought stress,the root water content of Nanya 1,Nanya 3 and Nanya 116,and root activity of Nanya 1,Nanya 2 and Nanya 3 gradually decreased with increase of drought stress level,but the root weater content of Nanya 2,and root activity of Nanya 116 both showed a rising first and then decreasing trend with increase of drought stress level.[Conclusion]Under drought stress,macadamia seedlings can resist drought by improving antioxidant enzyme activity and increasing content of key osmotic adjustment substances,but the continuous drought results in increase of leaf MDA content and REC,and dramatic declining of leaf chlorophyll content,leaf water content and root activity of macadamia seedlings.There is a difference in drought tolerance among different macadamia cultivars.Nanya 1 and Nanya 116 demonstrated superior performance in antioxidant capacity and osmotic adjustment,exhibiting stronger drought tolerance,which are recommended for prioritized cultivation in drought-prone regions.Meanwhile,Nanya 2 and Nanya 3 showed higher sensitivity to water deficit,necessitating enhanced water management practices to promote seedling growth.关键词
