Abstract

The aging detection of rubber dams is of significant importance for the maintenance of the dam bags and the prevention of potential disasters.This paper proposes a method for detecting the degree of aging of rubber dams based on low-field nuclear magnetic resonance technology,and has conducted laboratory testing and analysis on samples of dam bags with different aging levels.By performing nuclear magnetic resonance tests on both the rubber layer and the synthetic fiber layer of the dam bags,the crosslinking density of the rubber layer and the moisture content of the synthetic fiber layer were quantitatively analyzed,thereby accurately assessing the aging degree of the dam bags.Experimental results indicate that as the dam bags age,the crosslinking density of the rubber layer significantly decreases,and its nuclear magnetic resonance signal intensity also weakens;the water tightness of the aged dam bags decreases,the synthetic fiber layer absorbs water and swells,and the nuclear magnetic resonance signal intensity significantly increases.This method enables on-site non-sampling quantitative evaluation of the aging degree of rubber dams by measuring the crosslinking density of the rubber layer of the dam bag and the moisture content of the synthetic fiber layer,and has the advantages of non-destructive testing,rapid response and high precision.
