Abstract

This paper attempts to address the unclear impact mechanism of the rosion on the proppant settling under unconventional fracturing,and proposes an analytical method based on multi-parameter coupling.The study involves establishing a dynamic coupling model for proppant settling velocity predic-tion considering hole diameter and friction by introducing key parameters including proppant shape factor and particle density.The results show that compared with the model without considering erosion,the set-tling velocity increases by 101%with the increase of the shape factor from 0.7 to 1.0;the settling veloci-ty increases by 344%with the increase of the particle density from 1.4 to 2.6 g/cm3;the settling veloci-ty decreases by 38%with the increase of the concentration from 70.4 to 211.2 kg/m3;and the settling velocity increases by 1.3%with the decrease of the pack porosity from 0.2 to 0.14,and the hole friction is significantly improved.The improved model can more accurately guide the post-pressure production prediction and proppant selection.
