Abstract

Based on the water quality monitoring data of 10 major urban lakes in Nanchang from 2020 to 2024,and combined with the PCA and WQI methods,a comprehensive evalua-tion of lake water quality was conducted.In this study,the lakes in Nanchang city were clas-sified into three categories through non-metric multidimensional scaling analysis(NMDS),and PCA was conducted respectively for different types of lakes to identify the main pollution factors.The results show that the main pollution factors of different types of lakes are dif-ferent.For example,the main influencing factors of the East,west,south and North lakes and the Qian Lake are organic matter and nutrient salts.For the other lakes,the main influ-encing factor is nutrient salts.Spatially,the WQI index of East Lake,South Lake,North Lake and Mei Lake was significantly higher than that of other lakes.In terms of time,the WQI index in 2021 and 2024 was significantly higher than that of other years.The WQI in-dex in November was higher than that of other months,and the overall water quality in summer was worse than other seasons.The PCA-WQI joint model can accurately and effi-ciently evaluate the water quality of urban lakes and provides important reference value for the protection and management of lakes in Nanchang city and similar cities.
