摘要

Abstract

The scarcity and high cost of xenon have prompted extensive research into alternative propellants for ion thrusters in space missions.This paper reviews the progress in the development of various alternative propellants for ion thrusters,analyzing their physical properties,ionization efficiency,and application potential.It also identifies the critical issues hindering the development and adoption of diverse propellants for ion thrusters.Alternative propellants are expected to play a crucial role in advancing ion electric propulsion technologies and supporting the future of space missions by offering more efficient,cost-effective and reliable solutions.
