Abstract
Biomass-coal direct co-combustion technology,as an economically efficient and scalable low-carbon energy utilisation approach,holds significant importance for advancing the transformation and upgrading of the coal-fired power sector,achieving a low-carbon energy structure,and realising the dual carbon goals.This paper summarises the current application status of biomass direct co-combustion technology,analyses its engineering application progress both domestically and internationally,and focuses on examining the specific practices and outcomes of co-combustion retrofitting in China's two mainstream boiler types:circulating fluidised bed boilers and pulverised coal boilers.Subsequently,key constraints hindering large-scale deployment was discussed,including biomass fuel pretreatment(crushing and pulverisation)and stable conveying technologies,combustion organisation in biomass co-firing boilers,the impact of alkali metals in biomass ash on boilers,the impact of co-firing on boiler ultra-low emissions(SO2 and NOx),and challenges and research advances in precise online monitoring of biomass co-firing ratios.Finally,this paper outlines the future development prospects for biomass direct co-combustion technology,aiming to provide reference for further research and industrialisation of related technologies.关键词
