Abstract
The whitening efficacy of two whitening lotions containing different concentrations of glycyrrhizin was evaluated using mushroom tyrosinase assays,B16F10 melanoma cell models,zebrafish models,and human clinical studies.In vitro results showed that both formulations significantly inhibited melanin production in B16F10 cells and zebrafish.Compared with the 0.1%glycyrrhizin lotion,the 1%formulation exhibited stronger inhibitory activity against mushroom tyrosinase and more effectively reduced melanin synthesis in cellular and zebrafish models.Human efficacy studies confirmed that the 0.1%formulation met the registration requirements for spot-lightening and whitening cosmetics based on ITA° and MI values.The 1%formulation met all three evaluation criteria—visual skin tone assessment,ITA°,and MI values—demonstrating faster and more pronounced skin tone improvement.关键词
