Abstract
A compound plant extract containing Salvia miltiorrhiza was prepared and evaluated for its pigmentation-reducing,whitening,and moisturizing effects.Potential adverse skin reactions were assessed to ensure safety.In zebrafish models,a 0.012%aqueous solution reduced melanin signal intensity in the head by 50%,decreased tyrosinase activity by 34%,and lowered melanin protein content by 37%compared with the control.At 0.4%concentration,the extract demonstrated superior moisturizing efficacy compared to the positive control.Human patch tests in 30 subjects revealed no adverse reactions.In efficacy evaluations,33 subjects using the extract for 28 consecutive days showed an increase in individual typology angle(ITA°)and a significant decrease in melanin index(MI),indicating noticeable improvement in skin darkening.Additionally,after 28 days of use by 32 subjects,cheek stratum corneum water content increased by 28.37%(P<0.001),and cheek radiance improved by 15.30%(P<0.001)compared to baseline.These findings suggest that the compound extract is effective for spot removal,whitening,and moisturizing in humans.关键词
