Abstract

With the continuous increase in railway freight volume,the daily average number of cars handled by the marshalling yards in the northwest region is approaching or exceeding the capacity for checking,and the operational capacity of the marshalling yards is tight.The capacity of the Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway channel is approaching saturation,and the problem of restricting freight volume is becoming increasingly prominent.This article analyzed the existing problems in the increment of freight in the northwest region and proposed a series of targeted measures,including optimizing the loading structure of the Hexi Corridor of China Railway Lanzhou Group Co.,Ltd.,connecting the 5 200 ton large train at the Anbei Boundary,building a new channel for coal outward transportation from Xinjiang,strengthening regional transportation coordination,enhancing direct access to locomotive marshalling yards,and promoting the expansion and transformation of station equipment.These measures aimed to eliminate the constraints of the short board of freight increment in the northwest region,drive the region with points and lines,and improve the overall situation with regions,thus fully utilizing the road network's consolidation capacity and promoting the freight increment of the whole road.
