Abstract

Objective To explore the improvement effect of a comprehensive intervention program centered on neurofeedback,combined with sensory integration training equipment and virtual reality(VR)attention training systems,on the clinical symptoms,executive function and electroencephalogram indicators of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD).Methods Thirty children with ADHD diagnosed in Guangzhou Duodian Clinic from January 2024 to December 2024 were selected as research subjects and given a comprehensive intervention twice a week for 12 weeks.The assessment was conducted using Integrated Visual and Auditory Continuous Performance Test(IVA-CPT),the Conners Parental Symptom Questionnaire(PSQ),and quantitative electroencephalogram(QEEG)before and after intervention.Results After intervention,the comprehensive control quotient and comprehensive attention quotient in IVA-CPT of the affected children significantly improved compared to pre-intervention(P<0.01);after intervention,the scores of factors such as learning problems,impulse hyperactivity,and hyperactivity index in the PSQ questionnaire of the affected children significantly reduced compared to pre-intervention(P<0.01);after intervention,QEEQ showed a significant decrease in the θ/β ratio of the affected children at the Cz point compared to pre-intervention(P<0.05).Conclusions The multimodal comprehensive intervention program based on neurofeedback,sensory integration and VR technique can effectively improve the core symptoms of children with ADHD,enhance their attention levels and neurophysiological functions,which is a safe and effective non-pharmaceutical treatment method and is worthy of promotion and application in children's rehabilitation institutions.
