Joint Robust Beamforming and Device Scheduling Algorithm in Wireless Control Systems

Abstract
Under the constraints of limited wireless resources,it is still a technical challenge for wireless control sys-tems to employ multi-beam technology to achieve the simultaneous control of multiple loops.In this paper,under the condition that only the imperfect channel state information is available,a joint robust beamforming and device scheduling algorithm is proposed to ensure control stability while reducing the overall system cost.Firstly,an op-timization problem is formulated in the scene of simultaneous control of multiple loops,with the objective of minim-izing the weighted sum of control and communication costs,subject to constraints of control stability and transmit power.Secondly,the stability constraint is transformed into a transmission success probability constraint via quad-ratic Lyapunov function.Due to the intractability of this non-convex problem,we further propose a bi-objective framework to jointly optimize the control and communication costs.Specifically,a device scheduling algorithm based on the Whittle index method is introduced to minimize control cost,while a robust beamforming algorithm using Bernstein inequality and semidefinite programming is designed to minimize communication cost under control stability requirements.Finally,computer simulations show that,compared to typical transmission schemes,the pro-posed algorithm can reduce the total cost by 10%to 41%,achieving a good trade-off between communication and control costs.关键词
