Abstract
Objective To analyze the impact of scenario-based experiential education combined with self-media health education on blood glucose level of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods A total of 120 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the People's Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from January 2022 to June 2024 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table method,with 60 patients in each group.The control group received routine comprehensive management and self-media health education,while the observation group received additional scenario-based experiential education.The fasting blood glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c),and the scores on the Audit of Diabetes Knowledge(ADKnowl),the Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities(SDSCA),and the Diabetes Specificity Quality of Life Scale(DSQL)were compared between the two groups.Results After 6 months of intervention,both groups showed decreases in FPG,other glycemic indicators,and DSQL scores,along with increases in ADKnowl and SDSCA scores(P<0.05).The above research data of the observation group were superior to those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of scenario-based experimental education combined with self-media health education can improve self-management ability,diabetes knowledge mastery level and quality of life of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes,and help to control their blood glucose levels.关键词
