Professor ZHANG Shiqing's Experience in Treating Pediatric Adenoid Hypertrophy with Herbal Pair Therapy

Abstract
This article summarizes Professor ZHANG Shiqing's frequently used herbal pairs in treating pe-diatric adenoid hypertrophy:Angelica Dahurica and Bombyx Batryticatus,Angelica Sinensis and Ligusticum Chuanxiong,Platycodon Grandiflorus and Glycyrrhiza Uralensis,Xanthium Sibiricum and Magnolia Biondii,Fritillaria Thunbergii and Prunella Vulgaris,Cicada Molting and Mentha Haplocalyx,as well as Bupleurum Chinense and Ostrea Gigas.Professor ZHANG posits that the pathogenesis of pediatric adenoid hypertrophy pri-marily involves phlegm-stasis obstruction.His treatment strategy is based on the Quyuan Tang(取渊汤),en-hanced with targeted herb pairs to resolve phlegm,disperse nodules,activate blood circulation,and regulate qi.This approach addresses both root causes and symptomatic manifestations,harmonizing qi and blood while tailoring therapy to disease etiology.His methodology expands clinical syndrome differentiation and therapeutic perspectives.A representative case is included for validation.关键词
