Analysis of Carbon Emissions During the Construction Phase of Foam Asphalt Cold Recycling Mixtures

Abstract
To study the energy-saving and emission-reduction effects of foam recycled asphalt mixture during construction,the life cycle assessment(LCA)method was used.This analysis quantifies four stages in the construction process:raw material production,mixing,transportation,and on-site construction.Energy consumption and carbon emissions served as evaluation indicators.The results show that LCA can effectively assess energy consumption and carbon emissions in the asphalt mixture construction stage,proving to have significant practical engineering value.In both foam cold recycled asphalt and traditional hot mix asphalt,most energy consumption and CO2e emissions are concentrated in the raw material production and mixing stages.The difference between the two mixtures is largest during the mixing stage.In comparison to traditional hot mix technology,foam cold recycling technology offers substantial energy savings and emission reductions,decreasing energy consumption by 51.92%and CO2e emissions by 34.06%.This approach holds significant economic and environmental benefits.关键词
