Abstract
The impulse current withstand characteristics of ZnO varistor are one of the important factors to measure its stability and reliability,and the evaluation criteria of its impulse aging state is particularly im-portant.Therefore,the correlation and difference of AC/DC volt-ampere characteristics of ZnO varistor during impulse aging were analyzed comparatively by carrying out impulse aging test.Test results show that the AC u-iR characteristic curve drawn by peak-to-peak and the forward DC V-I characteristic curve are close to each other in the vicinity of the resistive current peak(DC current)of 1 mA,and the difference between them is about 1%.Moreover,when the DC reference voltage U1 mA of the ZnO varistor changes by about 5%,the change rate of the AC reference voltage u1 mA is about 3%.Thus,the DC re-ference voltage U1 mA and the power-frequency reference voltage evaluate the aging state of ZnO varistors with a similar effect.However,it is more stringent to use the DC reference voltage U1 mA as the evaluation criterion for the impulse withstand performance of the ZnO varistor.关键词
