Abstract
In rradio frequency optical communication systems,the electrical-to-optical and optical-to-electrical conversion de-vices can lead to in-band gain non-flatness,which affects system performance.A miniaturized resistor-inductor(RL)gain equalizer designed for radio frequency communication was developed.Through parameter sweep simulation and optimization,the traditional resistor-inductor-capacitor(RLC)circuit was simplified into an RL passive network.A two-stage RL equalizer was cascaded and applied to an L-band radio frequency photonic communication system,and the equalizer was fabricated and experimentally tested.The test results show that the RL equalizer applied to the L-band(900 MHz~2.5 GHz)system optimizes the gain flatness from 2.4 dB to 0.8 dB,with an improvement of 1.6 dB,providing an effective and economical solution for im-proving system performance..关键词
