摘要

Abstract

The rapid development of degradable polyesters has promoted a significant increase in the demand for 1,4-butanediol(BDO),and 1,4-butynediol(BYD)intermediate products need to be produced under the action of Cu-Bi catalysts.The waste Cu-Bi catalyst discharged regularly is hazardous waste,and its safe disposal is one of the key links in BDO production.In this paper,a methanol extraction method was proposed to decarbonize and promote the activity of waste Cu-Bi catalysts.X-ray fluorescence spectrometer(XRF),scanning electron microscope(SEM),energy dis-persive spectrometer(EDS),X-ray diffraction spectroscopy(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and thermogravimetric-differential thermogravimetric analysis(TG-DTG)were used to characterize the element distribution,surface morphology,mineral phase,functional group,chemical bond,volatilization and combustion characteristics of the waste Cu-Bi catalyst.The results show that metha-nol extraction can remove the oxygen-containing organic small molecules in the waste catalyst,and the extraction rate is about 47.80%.In the extraction process,the mineral phase,functional groups and chemical bonds of the active components of the spent catalyst were retained,which laid the foundation for the activation of the spent catalyst.Compared with the waste catalyst,the formaldehyde conversion rate of the catalyst after methanol extraction increased by 4 percentage points,the yield of BYD increased by 3 percentage points,and the selectivity of BYD did not increase significantly.The extraction decarburization process is helpful to activate the waste Cu-Bi catalyst and realize its recy-cling.
