Abstract
Buckwheat(Fagopyrum tataricum)has garnered significant attention due to its rich nutritional profile,and the KCS gene family plays a crucial role in fatty acid elongation and stress adaptation.Currently,systematic studies on the KCS gene family in buckwheat are lacking.This study provides the first comprehensive bioinformatic analysis of the KCS gene family in buckwheat,identifying 25 KCS genes and examining their physicochemical properties,subcellular localization,chromosomal distribution,and phylogenetic relationships with related plant species.The results show that KCS genes of buckwheat are primarily localized on the cell membrane and form distinct clusters on chromosomes Ft1,Ft3,and Ft7.GO and KEGG enrichment analyses indicate significant roles in biosynthesis,metabolic pathways,and stress response.In conclusion,the KCS gene family of buckwheat plays an essential role in long-chain fatty acid synthesis and environmental adaptability,laying a foundation for breeding stress-resistant buckwheat varieties and providing genetic resources for the improvement of other crops.关键词
