摘要
Abstract
During the process of urbanization, the innovation of urban governance models constitutes an inherent driver for cities across China to maintain strong economic resilience.Drawing on panel data of 272 prefecture-level cities in China from 2009 to 2023,this paper employs the staggered Difference-in-Differences(DID)method to explore how the smart city pilot policy influe-nces urban economic resilience and its underlying mechanisms. The findings reveal that smart city construction significantly en-hances urban economic resilience.Mechanism analysis indicates that improving the level of information infrastructure, promoting technological innovation, and optimizing resource allocation efficiency are the primary channels through which smart city develop-ment strengthens urban economic resilience.Heterogeneity analysis demonstrates that the enhancing effect of smart city construction is more pronounced in large-scale cities,non-administrative function cities, and resource-based cities.Additionally, cities with a higher level of human capital and a smaller scale of foreign direct investment(FDI)utilization can better exert the policy effects.Furthermore, the construction of high-speed rail(HSR)networks integrates smart cities with urban accessibility, thereby further amplifying the policy effect of smart city pilots.Smart city development also narrows the spatial disparity in economic resilience a-mong cities. This study holds significant reference value for the upgrading of new urban governance models, the construction of a national integrated computing power network, and the development of resilient cities.关键词
