摘要

Abstract

Xyleborinus saxesenii,a trunk-boring pest damaging Macadamia integrifolia,might exacerbate host plant injury through synergistic interactions with its associated fungi.In order to elucidate interaction relation-ships between this beetle and its associated fungi,as well as their effects on M.integrifolia,strains of X.saxese-nii associated fungi were isolated by fungi isolation method,which were identified by morphological and molecu-lar biological methods,and their effects on resistance indexes of M.integrifolia seedlings were determined.Re-sults showed that two strains of associated fungi(Mixs1 and Mixs2)were isolated and identified as Lasiodiplodia theobromae and Mucor irregularis respectively.After 15 days infected by strain Mixs2,peroxidase and catalase activities in multiple tissues of M.integrifolia seedlings significantly decreased.This study preliminarily re-vealed potential correlations among beetle-fungus-host,which could provide testable hypotheses for future stud-ies on their interaction mechanisms in natural populations.
