Design Method for Seismic Energy Dissipation of Irregular Structures with Metal Dampers

Abstract
The torsional effect caused by the misalignment between mass center and rigid center of irregular structures exacerbates the destructive effect of earthquakes.Metal dampers are commonly used in structural seismic control research due to their simple structure and stable hysteresis performance.Considering the mechanics characteristics of irregular structures,the design method for seismic energy dissipation with additional metal dampers of irregular structures is proposed based on Kasai performance optimization method.Taking a 6-story irregular frame structure as an example,the proposed method is used for seismic design to prove its feasibility and effectiveness.The calculation results show that the energy dissipation structure meets the requirements of inter story displacement angle limit for frequent and rare earthquakes,and the effect of seismic response reduction is better,through dynamic elastic-plastic time history analysis,providing a foundation for seismic control research of irregular structures.关键词
