Relationship between Glucose Tolerance and the Stenosis Degree and Imaging Characteristics of Coronary CTA in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between glucose tolerance and stenosis degree and imaging characteristics of coronary CT angiography(CTA)in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods:The clinical data of 294 patients with CHD in the hospital between January 2021 and January 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.The severity of coronary stenosis was evaluated by results of coronary CTA.According to blood glucose levels in the oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT),patients were divided into normal glucose tolerance(NGT)group,impaired glucose tolerance(IGT)group and diabetes mellitus(DM)group.The severity of coronary stenosis and imaging characteristics in CHD patients with different glucose tolerance state were compared.The correlation between glucose tolerance and the stenosis degree,imaging characteristics of coronary CTA was analyzed by Spearman.Results:The proportion of severe coronary stenosis in DM group was higher than that in NGT group and IGT group,and plaques were mainly calcified plaques(P<0.05).The proportion of moderate to severe coronary stenosis in IGT group was higher than that in NGT group,and plaques were mainly on mixed plaques(P<0.05).Compared with NGT group,there were significant differences in types of coronary plaques in IGT group and DM group(P<0.05).The results of Spearman correlation analysis showed that glucose tolerance was positively correlated with the stenosis degree of coronary CTA and plaque properties in CHD patients(P<0.05).Conclusion:Glucose tolerance is significantly positively correlated with the stenosis degree of coronary CTA and plaque properties in CHD patients.The severity of coronary stenosis is more serious and plaque properties are more complex in DM group and IGT patients.关键词
