Development and Application of Torsion Resistance Strong Magnetic Salvage Device for Horizontal Wells

Abstract
In response to the problem of metal debris residue during the removal of bridge plugs in continuous oil pipes,which hinders subsequent operations and increases costs,research has been conducted on the technology of strong magnetic salvaging while drilling.An innovative anti torsion strong magnetic salvager while drilling has been developed,and ANSYS Workbench has been used for static analysis.Combined with nCode software,the fatigue life of the salvager with an outer diameter of 79.375 mm(3.125 in)under composite loads has been predicted,and field applications have been carried out in 10 horizontal wells in Xinjiang Oilfield.Results show that the shortest fatigue life of the salvager is 3.238×106 times,and the actual service life is not less than 184 hours,which meets the requirements of strength and reliability,and the on-site application process success rate is 100%.After on-site application verification,a large number of bridge plug pins and debris were salvaged from MaHW6444 well in Ma 18 area,effectively solving the problem of pipe string obstruction.Results show that torsionally strong magnetic salvager can achieve"fishing while drilling and grinding",with a high collection rate of iron debris and reliable tools.It also significantly improves the efficiency of horizontal well drilling and plugging operations,providing an effective technical solution for horizontal well debris removal.关键词
