Abstract
To compare the differences between the force method and numerical simulation in calculating the internal forces of a two-hinged arch, the Huangpen Sluice road bridge was taken as an example. Both methods were used to compute its internal forces, and the results were compared with the inspection-based estimated values to verify their rationality and accuracy. The maximum normal stress and shear stress obtained by the force method were 0.83 times and 6.34 times those from the numerical simulation, respectively. In the tensile stress direction, the maximum values calculated by the force method and numerical simulation were 7.90 times and 3.00 times the inspection-based estimated values, respectively. In the shear stress direction, the force method and enumerical simulation yield maximum values that were 6.88 times and 1.21 times the inspection-based estimated values, respectively. The research proved that both methods can effectively determine internal forces in two-hinged arches and meet engineering requirements, though precision differences exist. In compressive stress direction, both methods produced comparable maximum values, while numerical simulation yields smaller maxima in tensile and shear stress directions.Combined with detection data, numerical simulation demonstrated closer to actual values than the force method in both tensile and shear stress directions.关键词
