探析白术散治疗水寒土湿木郁型不寐
Analysis of Baizhu Powder in Treating Insomnia Due to Pattern of Water-Cold,Earth-Dampness,and Wood-Stagnation

Abstract
This article explores the diagnosis and treatment of insomnia through the lens of HUANG Yuanyu's theory of"Water-Cold,Earth-Dampness,and Wood-Stagnation."Pathogenesis:this theory describes a pathological pattern characterized by a propensity for cold in the Kidney(Water-Cold),dampness encumbrance in the Spleen(Earth-Dampness),and stagnation in the Liver(Wood-Stagnation).Its essential pathology is an exuberance of Yin and a decline of Yang,classifying it as a Yin pattern.The core pathogenesis involves the interbinding and interaction of Qi stagnation,cold,and dampness.Clinical Manifestations:the pattern presents with a classic triad of alternating symptoms:uncontrollable excessive rumination before sleep;profound drowsiness without anxious restlessness,yet an inability to transition into sleep;and a drowsy state of desiring to sleep characterized by a state of seemingly sleeping but not actually sleeping.Differential Diagnosis:it is crucial to differentiate this pattern from other similar deficiency syndrome such as Liver Qi Stagnation Syndrome,Spleen Deficiency with Dampness Syndrome,Lower Jiao Deficiency-Cold Syndrome,and Heart-Spleen Deficiency Syndrome,as well as from excess Yang patterns including Phlegm-Heat Syndrome,Liver Fire Syndrome,and Heart Fire Syndrome.Treatment Principle and Formula:the advocated treatment principle is to warm the Water(warm the Kidneys),dry the Earth(resolve dampness and fortify the spleen),and spread the Wood(soothe the liver and relieve stagnation).The formula Baizhu Powder is recommended to achieve these therapeutic aims and address the root of the disorder.关键词
