股前外侧筋膜瓣在口腔癌术后缺损修复中的应用研究
Application of anterolateral thigh fascia flap in repairing defects after oral cancer surgery

Abstract
Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of the anterolateral thigh fascial flap and the traditional an-terolateral thigh myocutaneous flap in defect repair after oral cancer surgery.Methods:Forty patients with oral cancer who underwent surgery at Meizhou People's Hospital between June 2019 and March 2025 were enrolled.Eighteen patients under-went repair with the anterolateral thigh fascial flap(fascial flap group)and 22 with the anterolateral thigh myocutaneous flap(myocutaneous flap group).General information,primary tumor location,flap size,and postoperative free flap survival were collected and statistically analyzed.Results:A total of 40 patients were enrolled in this study.No statistically significant differences in age,gender,or tumor location were found between the fascial flap and skin flap groups(P＞0.05).The mean flap area in the fascia flap group was(34.2±9.9)cm2,significantly smaller than that in the myocutaneous flap group[(55.6±24.0)cm2](P＜0.001).Both the fascia flap group and the myocutaneous flap group had 100％survival rates.In the fascia flap group,the surface of the transplanted fascia was completely covered by new mucosa approximately 4 to 6 weeks after sur-gery,and patients experienced minimal oral foreign body sensation.In the myocutaneous flap group,some patients reported a significant foreign body sensation due to the presence of transplanted skin in the mouth.Regarding the donor site,the fascia flap group only left a linear scar on the thigh,which healed well,while the myocutaneous flap group had a more pronounced scar.Conclusion:The anterolateral thigh fascial flap is a safe and effective option for repairing defects after oral cancer sur-gery.It exhibits rapid postoperative mucosalization,provides high intraoral comfort,and minimizes donor site damage.It is particularly suitable for small to medium-sized intraoral defects and obese patients,making it an ideal option for defect recon-struction after oral cancer surgery.关键词
