Theoretical logic and practical paths of enhancing forest carbon pool capacity to support national climate security in the process of forestry modernization

Abstract
Forestry modernization is a key component of China's modernization,and enhancing forest carbon pool capacity is crucial for strengthening the national climate security barrier.Based on the theories of global carbon cycle,climate feedback and ecosystem services,this paper analyzed the logic of how forest carbon pools contribute to climate security:as the main body of terrestrial carbon storage,forest could regulate global carbon cycle,exert positive feedback effects on climate,and provide multiple ecosystem services,with dual functions of mitigating climate change and enhancing ecosystem resilience.At the practical level,a synergistic system was constructed:expanding the carbon sink foundation through precision afforestation and ecological restoration,enhancing carbon sink capacity via forest stand optimization and precision management,stabilizing carbon sink functions through legal and technological monitoring,realizing the marketization of ecological value by relying on carbon sink economy,and providing support by improving policy mechanisms.The study provided theoretical reference and practical guidance for enhancing forest carbon pool capacity and serving national climate security strategy in the process of promoting forestry modernization.关键词
