Abstract
[Objective]To enhance the level of mechanized and ecological grain production in the Hetao Irrigation District(HID),reveal the spatio-temporal differences in resource and environmental conditions among banner/county-level regions,and provide a basis for high-quality agricultural development in the irrigation district.[Methods]The undesirable-output super-efficiency SBM model was employed to measure efficiency from 2019 to 2023.Dynamic changes in total factor productivity(TFP)were analyzed using the Global Malmquist-Luenberger(GML)index.[Results]The average efficiency value of the HID was 0.675,with significant polarization among banner/county-level regions.Linhe District,Urad Rear Banner,and Hanggin Rear Banner exhibited high efficiency,while four counties/banners,including Wuyuan County,remained at medium-low efficiency levels.The primary sources of efficiency loss were excess redundancy in agricultural mechanization resources and non-point source pollution.The annual average GML index for the HID's TFP was 0.932.Lagging technological progress efficiency was the main contributing factor,while technical efficiency showed a slight increase.Among the regions,only Dengkou County demonstrated an annual increase in its GML index.[Conclusion]Coordinated optimization of machinery allocation,strict control of non-point source pollution,and enhanced water-saving irrigation technologies are required.Regional collaboration and technology extension should be strengthened to improve the level of mechanized grain production and ecological sustainability in the HID.关键词
