"Who Can Trace the Swan's Path East or West"
摘要
Abstract
Through close textual analysis and intertextual verification with spatial poetics theory, combined with an examination of Su Shi's life trajectory and poetic practice, this study reveals that Su Shi's poetry contains extensive east-west directional writing, forming a compound metaphorical system that integrates cultural heritage with personal experience.Specifically, the"west"simultaneously denotes geographical homeland and spiritual roots, with its emotional expression evolving from explicit attachment to the west in his youth to the implicit bonds of longing after his exile, reflecting the eternal dilemma of individual-homeland disconnection. The"east"correlates with political center and reclusive imagery, where aspiration gradually yields to weariness through political vicissitudes, mirroring the conflict between scholarly identity and free will.East and west in Su Shi's poetry transcend geographical denotations, employing"geophilosophical contemplation"to dissolve spatial divisions, elevating wandering experiences into an inquiry into the essence of existence, and ultimately achieving spiritual transcendence through"breaking the attachment to self"as a poetic response to life's uncertainties.关键词
