Abstract
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of Maren Pill combined with Bifidobacterium triple viable cap-sule in the treatment of senile functional constipation(FC).Methods:Eighty-eight elderly FC patients admitted to the Geriatrics Department of Zhejiang Rongjun Hospital from October 2020 to October 2022 were randomly divided into two groups(44 cases in each group).The control group was treated with Bifidobacterium triple viable capsule,and the observation group was treated with Maren Pill on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,symptoms and signs score,self-rated quality of life score(PAC-QOL)and adverse reactions were compared be-tween the two groups.Results:Compared with the control group(81.81%),the total effective rate in the observa-tion group(95.45%)was higher(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores for defecation frequency,defecation time,stool consistency,and abdominal distension decreased in both groups compared to those before treatment,with the observation group showing lower scores than the control group in all items,and the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the PAC-QOL scores also decreased in both groups compared to pretreatment levels,and the observation group had a lower PAC-QOL score than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 17.91%,slightly higher than that in the control group(11.36%),the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:Maren Pill combined with Bifidobacterium Triple Viable Capsules has a significant effect in the treatment of senile functional constipation,ef-fectively alleviating constipation-related symptoms,improving patients'quality of life,with good safety,and is worthy of clinical application.关键词
