摘要
Abstract
Objective:To investigate the status of health literacy and analyze its associated factors among outpatients in the otorhinolaryngology(ENT)department,so as to provide a basis for developing targeted intervention strategies. Methods:Using a convenience sampling method,444 patients from the ENT outpatient department of Yuebei People's Hospital were selected as the study subjects between February and April 2025.Surveys were conducted using a general information questionnaire, the Brief Health Literacy Screener(BHLS),the Family APGAR Index, the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).Univariate analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were used to screen for factors associated with health literacy. Results:The BHLS score of the 444 patients was 7.4±3.6,indicating that their health literacy needs improvement.Univariate analysis showed that health literacy was associated with gender, age, education level, place of residence, monthly income, employment status, type of medical insurance, and family function(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis further indicated that patients aged≥60 years had a lower level of health literacy(b=2.066,P<0.001).In contrast, patients with a high school education or above(b=-2.191,P<0.001)or those with better family function(b=-0.338,P<0.001)demonstrated a higher level of health literacy. Conclusion:The health literacy of ENT outpatients is influenced by age, education level, and family function.Clinical practice should focus particularly on elderly patients and those with lower education levels.Comprehensive intervention measures, including promoting family support, should be developed to enhance their health literacy.关键词
