Research progress of metal-organic framework-based membranes for ethane/ethylene separation
摘要
Abstract
The efficient separation of ethylene/ethane is an important step in the industrial preparation of high-purity ethylene.However,cryogenic distillation is highly energy-costing.Superior in high efficiency,low energy consumption,and low carbon emissions,the membrane separation technology based on metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)is a promising new ethylene/ethane separation technology expected to replace the traditional low-temperature distillation.The preparation methods of polycrystalline MOF membranes and mixed matrix membranes(MMMs)with MOFs as fillers are introduced.The latest research progress of MOF-based membranes in ethylene/ethane separation is systematically summarized.The influence of membrane material microstructure on its ethylene/ethane separation performance is analyzed.Finally,the development direction of MOF-based membranes for the future industrial separation of ethylene/ethane mixtures is proposed to leverage the advantages of interdisciplinary integration such as artificial intelligence,focus on optimizing the pore structure or surface properties of MOFs,and develop low-cost and large-scale MOF-based membranes suitable for ethylene/ethane separation under complex working conditions,with particular emphasis on MMMs.关键词
