Local Features Shaped by the Grassroots Revolutionary Forces:an Analysis of the Prehistory to the People's Guerrilla Detachment in Sichuan-Xikang Border Area

Abstract
During the War of Liberation,the high degree of local militarization and intricate political-social structures in western Sichuan provided a possible space for underground the CPC members to establish revolutionary armed forces in the region.For this reason,the revolutionaries of the CPC effectively leveraged the local social networks,including the united front liaison with various organi-zations inside and outside the Kuomintang regime to expand the initial growth space of the local armed forces.This process simultaneously showed the diverse social appearance of western Sichuan society.By examining the prelude to the emergence and development of the People's Guerrilla De-tachment in Sichuan-Xikang Border Area in the complex and rapidly shifting social relationship networks,this paper explores how the regional social relations network provides variables for the e-mergence and development of the local armed forces of the CPC,and may also present the complex aspects of the revolutionary cause of the CPC in different regional social ecology.关键词
