The mechanism of structured physical activity in improving social impairments in children with autism:A perspective from emotional processing system activation

Abstract
The core social impairments in Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD)manifest as deficits in endogenous social motivation and overt interactive behaviors.These impairments are closely associated with multi-level dysfunctions within the emotional processing system.Drawing upon existing theoretical frameworks and empirical findings,this study proposes the"Activation-Driven Dynamic Regulation Model of Emotional Processing"to systematically elucidate the pathways through which structured physical activity improves social deficits in children diagnosed with ASD by activating multi-level emotional processing systems.Moving beyond traditional linear causal frameworks for structured physical activity,this model reveals the intrinsic mechanism by which structured physical activity reconstructs social function in autistic children through a dynamic loop of"emotional processing system activation → cognitive regulation → behavioral feedback.".关键词
