Analysis of Co-channel Compatibility Between Legacy Direct-to-Cell Satellite Systems and IMT Systems
摘要
Abstract
This study addresses the co-channel coexistence between existing direct-to-cell satellite systems-requiring no hardware modifications at the user terminal and enabled solely through network-side adaptation-and International Mobile Telecommunications(IMT)systems.A modeling and simulation framework is constructed for three typical interference scenarios:terrestrial-to-terrestrial,space-to-terrestrial,and terrestrial-to-space.Based on S-band system parameters and combining a hole-punch topology with Monte Carlo simulation, the interference levels and required isolation conditions are evaluated for different scenarios. The results show that,in the terrestrial-to-terrestrial scenario, interference from satellite terminals to IMT base stations requires about 5 km of geographic separation, while interference from IMT base stations to satellite terminals requires alout 15 km;in the space-to-terrestrial scenario, under a beam spot diameter of 30 km,an isolation distance of about 120 km is needed;in the terrestrial-to-space scenario,if IMT users transmit at a maximum power of 23 dBm,the exceedance ratio is about 65%,which can be reduced to within the threshold by using average power together with beam isolation. The proposed modeling and simulation method provides a reference for interference analysis and frequency coordination between space and terrestrial systems.关键词
