Abstract
In border ethnic areas,railway projects have become a medium to promote ethnic exchanges and integration,consolidating the actual national territory.At the same time,they also reflect the abstract national image and are a key area in modern national construction.During the Third Front Construction period,with an eye on the overall development of the country,in order to quickly build a solid strategic rear base,the central government mobilized the entire nation's resources to construct the Chengdu-Kunming Railway.This not only established a relatively complete new railway system closely connected to the national railway network but also provided impetus for social development.It is an important manifestation of the expression and implementation of the national will.As an important political project,the completion,opening and operation of the Chengdu-Kunming Railway have laid a foundation for promoting ethnic unity,national unification and advancing the modernization of border areas.At the same time,it has endowed a major project with profound connotations of demonstrating the will of the state,which is of great significance for promoting the integrated development of all ethnic groups.关键词
