Conceptual Creation and Focus Transformation:The Representation and Significance of Zhou Zuoren's Modern Novel Criticism Practice

Abstract
The unique value and theoretical tension of Zhou Zuoren's modern novel criticism practice are mainly reflected in two dimensions:the avant-garde nature of concept creation and the transformation of critical focus.In terms of theoretical construction,Zhou Zuoren demonstrated an outstanding ability to generate concepts,being able to keenly perceive literary phenomena and give them academic names.This conceptualization effort that transcends empirical impressions is a key link in his active participation and shaping of the discourse system of modern Chinese literary criticism,providing indispensable theoretical coordinates and value scales for the development of new literature.At the diachronic development level,his critical discourse profoundly reflects the complex interaction between an individual's ideological trajectory and the trends of thought of the times.With the deepening of thought and the change of context,the focus of his criticism has undergone an intrinsic and profound transformation,shifting from ideological transmission to the ontology of art.This transformation profoundly reveals the reassessment and repositioning of the intrinsic value and functional coordinates of literature by modern intellectuals in the historical torrent,and holds significant importance in the history of thought and criticism.关键词
