Marx's Early Thought on Ecological Justice and Its Contemporary Significance
摘要
Abstract
Ecological justice primarily concerns the fair distribution of ecological resources and the just han-dling of the relationship between humanity and nature. In his early work Debates on the Law on the Theft of Wood,Karl Marx, through a critique of private property, profoundly exposes how the privileged classes utilized law and state authority to achieve the privatization of ecological resources and deprive the poor of their ecological rights.Ma-rx argued that this not only obscured the class oppression inherent in the distribution of natural resources, but also alienated the 'gifts of nature' as sacrifices to capital accumulation. With the development of contemporary capital-ism,the forms of ecological exploitation have shifted from overt monopolization of resources to the covert externali-zation of environmental costs.Yet,its essential connection with private property remains unchanged. In this sense,Marx's early perspective on ecological justice holds particular value for critiquing the ecological colonialism of mod-ern capitalist nations and for developing a theory of ecological justice with Chinese characteristics.关键词
