摘要

Abstract

In order to understand the historical characteristics of flooding in the Yulongkashi River,we aim to analyze the historical flood intensity,time of occurrence,and duration and reveal the key driving factors of histori-cal flood variability using daily runoff data from the year 1961 to 2022 from the Tongguziluk hydrological station on the Yulongkashi River in this study.The results showed that:flooding in the Yulongkashi River was mainly concentrated in the summer,with occasional occurrences in the autumn and no significant flooding events in the spring and winter.During the last 60 years,the intensity of floods in the Yulongkashi River has been increasing,with summer floods occurring earlier and autumn floods occurring later,the occurrence duration of the maximum flood in 2004-2022 increased by 4.21 d compared with that in 1961-2003,and the rising duration increased sig-nificantly(P<0.05).Significant increase in minimum temperatures is the key leading factors to lead to the in-creased intensity of flood peaks on the Yulongkashi River,earlier occurrence of summer floods,delayed occurrence of autumn floods,and prolonged duration of the flooding process.The Yulongkashi River primarily experienced temperature-induced floods,with temperature being the principal driving factors of its variability.
