Classification of Solar Energy Photovoltaic Resources Parameters and Evaluation in Guangxi

Abstract
This study evaluates solar energy resources for photovoltaic(PV)applications in Guangxi by analyzing solar radiation and sunshine duration data from meteorological stations.Using methods of solar radiation climatology and slope-surface radiation conversion,key PV parameters were derived for each station,including horizontal total solar radiation,direct solar radiation,direct horizontal radiation ratio,radiation stability,optimum tilt angle,and annual equivalent PV availability hours.The results show that the annual horizontal total solar radiation of every station ranges from 3 717 to 5 727 MJ/m2 in Guangxi.The annual direct solar radiation is 1 484-2 711 MJ/m2.The optimum tilt angle is 15°-20.5°.Slope surface total radiation of optimum tilt angle is 3 824-5 872 MJ/m2,which is 2.11%-4.22%higher than the value of horizontal surfaces.PV availability hours are 849.8-1 304.8 h.The direct radiation ratio is 0.38-0.47,indicating that scattered radiation dominates in Guangxi.It is found that the spatial distribution of direct radiation ratio is different from that of direct radiation in Guangxi.Based on the annual total solar radiation and PV availability hours,the abundance of solar energy resources was classified.Total solar radiation exhibits a spatial pattern of higher values in the south and lower in the north,and solar resource grades generally decrease from south to north.Most areas in Guangxi are rich in solar energy resources,with the most abundant class concentrated in southern coastal regions such as Beihai City and Shangsi County.关键词
